Food experiences by ApulianClub

Dear Reader,
If you are planning your vacation in Puglia and dream of authentic experiences immersed in trulli or driving along small country roads in a classic Fiat 500, then this article is dedicated to you!
Below you will find a complete list of tours with all the activities that our Club offers to promote Apulian food, wine & traditions of this beautiful region:

1) Monopoli Walking Food Tour
An Apulian-style breakfast, pasticciotto and cappuccino.
Walk through the historic center among the beauties of Monopoli.
Stop for an olive oil tasting with bruschetta,
tasting of Apulian burrata & Primitivo wine in two bottega.
In an old bakery we will taste panzerotto, the King of Apulian street food. Tarallucci and Primitivo wine.      The tour will end with traditional gelato

2) Dinner at a trullo in Alberobello
A family will prepare focaccia, pizza, salami, cheeses (homemade),eggplant parmigiana & grigliata mista di carne. Ending with homemade desserts, wine and Apulian liqueurs

3) Panzerotti Workshop
In the evening, we will go to a famous 70’s pizzeria that makes the best panzerotti in the city, they will prepare panzerotti just for us. Made as you want. Choices can be shrimp, ham, mushrooms, carpaccio, grilled aubergines and anything else you would like.

4) Burrata & Fiat 500 tour
In a masseria, you will see how cheeses like mozzarella, ricotta & burrata are made. We will taste 8 different Apulian cheeses. In a different masseria we will taste 2 different types of extra virgin olive oil.

5) Fornello Pronto
In Castellana Grotte, we will go for dinner at a butcher’s shop. You select the cut & they will prepare it the way you prefer.

6) Focaccia, Primitivo Wine & Fiat 500 tour
Driving in Monopoli’s countryside, we will arrive in a Casale where we will prepare focaccia together. We will also have a wine tasting in a cellar with 2 apulians wines, white Locorotondo and Primitivo.

7) Pool & aperitif
A day at a Villa with a beautiful pool & an apulian aperitivo.

8) Visit Alberobello & experience an aperitif in a trullo
We will visit Alberobello, the city of trulli. Following, we will visit an ancient trullo, a family will be waiting for us for an incredible tasting of homemade food (focaccia, pizza, bread, salami and cheeses) and wine.

9) Caciocavallo Podolico & Black pig
In the Taranto area, we will visit a large masseria that raises cows of the Podolica breed. Then to the workshop of caciocavallo, an ancient and precious Apulian cheese where we will have a tasting with jams & wine.
In Martina Franca we will visit a breeding farm of the Apulian black pig. We will enjoy an aperitif with cured & grilled prized meats.

10) Apulian cooking class with mamma Maria!
We will prepare orecchiette or a typical tiella “Riso, patate e cozze”
