Come with us and taste the Aglianico wine

Welcome to our virtual cellar!
In this article we talk about Aglianico del Vulture. The wine that most represents Basilicata region, in particular we are in the land of Melfi, Venosa, Rampolla and Rionero in Vulture. We tell you the story of a vine introduced in Italy by the ancient Greeks. Very intense ruby color, fruity and spicier aromas during aging. The volcanic soil gives the wine important mineral notes.
We discovered and tasted Cantine del Notaio’s Aglianico and suggest a wine tasting. You can discover the history of the family, owner of the winery and learn the stages of the Aglianico winemaking process, the aging of the wine up to the bottling.
Aglianico del Vulture DOC is well suited to the Basilicata specialties such as durum wheat bread, podolico caciocavallo cheese and local sausages, up to red meats.
